School Days

2011 was Jordan's first year at St. Laurence.  I'm not gonna lie, it's great having only one place to drop off in the mornings.  And Jordan could not wait to get to St. Laurence.  She had watched Jackson get dropped off in carpool line every morning for 2 years.  So she couldn't wait until her day had come.  This was a big year for Jackson too.  He's a first grader and starting on the "big" campus at school.  Pre-K and K are separated in a different building, so the first day of school was big for him as well.  Needless to say, they both did great and didn't even want me to walk them in the first day.  What big kids!!!

Halloween

We trick or treated for the very first time in our neighborhood this year.  In previous years we've always been at a family member's house be it Aunt Gayle's, Aunt Dana's, Aunt Carla's or Shari's.  So this was new to us, but we had alot of fun.  Jackson was happy because he never gets to trick or treat with his neighbor buddies, and this year, he did.  Jordan was SuperGirl, Jackson was Obi Wan Kenobi from Star Wars, and I was an NFL Replacement Ref... ha!

Jordan's Birthday

Jordan's birthday was up next.  She had a spa party with a few of her best girlfriends.  The girls had pedicures and manicures and got their hair done if they wanted too.  Let's just say there was lots of sparkle going on!!!

Following Jordan's party, we had a family party at Mark and Gayle's pool for both Jack and Jordan.  Lots of fun was had by all!!!

Jackson's Birthday

The end of the summer around our house means birthdays.  First Jack's, then Jordan's.  This year Jackson has been all about Skylanders, so he had a small Skylanders party at our house.  It was just a small group of his friends and they played Skylander the whole time!!!  He came up for air when it was time for cake, but then they went back to playing.  I would say it's a successful party when you have to send home the cake in take-home boxes!

Also in August, we spent a few weekends watching Brandon play baseball for the Brazos Valley Bombers.  For one game, Jackson got to be the bat boy.  He was in heaven and absolutely LOVED it!

Summer Vacation

We spent the week of July 4th down at Matagorda beach.  No, it's not the prettiest beach, but it's close to home and quiet and had everything we needed.  The kids loved it and it was nice being away without having to travel too far.  Aunt Dana, Uncle Ryan, Clay and Reed came and visited for a few days too.  We had fun at the beach and kayaked and cooked out and had a great time!

Graduations!!!

Jackson and Jordan both had graduations of some sort this past year.  Jackson was graduating from Kindergarten moving on to the "big" campus at his school.  To conclude the school year, the Kindergarten classes had an end of year celebration.

Jordan had a ceremony as well.  She graduated from the Pre-K program at daycare.  Even though her birthday is on the cutoff date, Jordan was always with the "older" kids.  Especially since she's taller than most of them. :-)

Easter

We had the traditional Easter this year.  We spent Good Friday at Aunt Edie and Uncle Norbert's and had the traditional Easter Egg Hunt. Then we spent Saturday at Nana and Papa's.

Easter Sunday, we went to Church, then went to Grandma and Popo's for lunch.
