A Preview...

Just wanted to share a little Halloween preview. Today was the Halloween parade at Jordan's school. Jackson was out today for parent/teacher conferences, so he was able to join in too. All the kids were sooo cute!!! But I must say, we had the cutest Batgirl and BumbleBee for sure!

This was the fun before the kids got all sugared up at the party in the afternoon! All the kids were so cute in their costumes.

Our Other Jacks...

Kenny carved our jack-o-lanterns tonight just in time for Halloween. He and Jackson went online and found some patterns. Jordan chose Minnie and Jackson chose the Autobot symbol. Good thing our Dremel tool does most of the work!

I also roasted the pumpkin seeds. They are really yummy! Way better than the ones I did last year.

Bazaar!!!

St. Laurence Bazaar was just a couple of weeks ago. We're always ready for it to come and also very happy to see it go for another year. You see, Kenny has been a bazaar co-chair for three years now, and he works so hard to make sure it's always a success. That involves many, many hours of meetings, phone calls, and errands. So, while it's always a very fun and exciting weekend for the kids, it's totally exhausting for us. This year was another successful year. This is the 25th year of our Parish, so it was extra special this year.

The weather did not disappoint. It was a beautiful weekend. And the kids get soooo very excited about all the rides. Jackson calls it "Daddy's Playground". To him it is, because there are tons of rides for the kids, and they ride and ride and ride.



They rode this swing ride at least 20 times each. It was by far their favorite. And every time they rode it, their faces looked like this.

Oh, and the food was good too...


After a fun-filled weekend, both kids passed out before we got on the highway to come home. No baths that night!!! They bathed before school the next morning.

Pumpkin Patch

While I spent a much-needed day with my girlfriends, Kenny took the kids to the Pumpkin Patch in EC. They picked up my nephew Reed on the way. This is always such a fun event for the kids. There's lots to do, and we really look forward to it every year.

Go Patriots!!!

No, we haven't given up on the Texans after that nasty loss to the Cowboys on Sunday. We're rooting for a different set of Patriots... Jackson's flag football team. This is his first year playing so he's just starting to get the hang of it. His team consists of 5, 6 and 7 year olds, so he's the youngest on his team. But that doesn't seem to bother him at all.

Here he is playing defense... running after the guy with the ball. Kenny is encouraging Jackson to focus on defense... not sure why!

So far, Jackson has really had alot of fun playing flag football. Hopefully it's something he's passionate about for years to come. Boy, would that make his Daddy happy!!!

Patriot Day in Aggieland

Since the Aggies had a bye week on Saturday, I thought I'd post about a game a couple of weeks ago. On September 11, the Aggies honored first responders at the game in honor of Patriot Day. The block ATM in the middle of the field was painted like the flag. How cool is that?

Before the game, many local first responders, including Texas Task Force One that is headquartered in College Station, lined the field from goal line to goal line.

Then we had an awesome flyover.


The band paid tribute to the armed forces as well.


One of the great things about Texas A&M is it's commitment to service. And Aggies take every opportunity to thank those who give the ultimate sacrifice and risk their lives for our safety. Gig 'Em!

Birthdays - Part II

We had birthday parties for Jackson and Jordan's friends the Saturday between their birthdays. Aunt Gayle and Uncle Mark were generous enough to share their pool for the parties. (Thank you!!!) We also had a Bounce House from our friends Amanda and Mark (Thanks, guys!!! )

Jordan's party was first. Her friends came and swam and had snacks and cupcakes. Of course Jordan requested a pink princes birthday party.

Jordan's party was so nice and calm and didn't prepare us for the chaos that we were about to have when all the BOYS came for Jackson's party. This was a Transformers party.

Jack and Jordan got lots of great gifts. One of their favorites were these bicycles from Grandma and Popo. We had to try them out immediately!



What fun! I think they'll remember their 3rd and 5th birthday parties for a long time.
